Paul and Jan Myrant: Founders of The Acts 17 Accord

The Acts 17 Accord is committed to bringing unity building bridges, and restoring foundations. To prepare listeners to live righteous, Spirit-filled lives to the end of the age - through books, podcasts, seminars and videos. 

Our ministry is based on Acts17:24-31.

       "The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and He              does not live in temples made by human hands and He is not served by human hands as if He needed anything, for He Himself gives all men life and breath and everything else. 

        From one man He made every nation of men, so that they should inhabit the whole earth and determined the times set for them and the exact place they should live. (he marked out  the boundaries of their lands.) God did this so that they would seek Him and perhaps reach out for Him, and find Him, though he is not far from any one of us. For in Him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own prophets have said, "We are His offspring." 

       Therefore since we are God's offspring, we should not think that that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone - an image made by human design and skill.  In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now He commands all people everywhere to repent. For He has set a day when He will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.

       This passage is an amazing overview of the God's intentions humanity. He is offering a contract, an accord, with humanity to enter into a relationship with the Creator. All of life that matters is covered in these 7 verses. 

Our Focus 

      We focus on building the community of Faith: Bringing Unity in the Body of Christ, Restoring Foundations Truth and restoring foundations. We offer a biblical perspective on cultural issues such as human sexuality, social justice, racism, the authenticity of Scripture, and the existence and nature of a Creator. 

Who We Are

     Paul & Jan have been married over 46 years. They have four adult children and ten grandchildren. 

     Paul has spent much of his life connecting with others about spiritual truths. He was a senior pastor for 14 years in Southern California, a youth pastor in Northern California, and a staff member at various churches  in the Denver area.

      Jan is a preschool teacher and has taught and led children's ministries for decades. She is an excellent writer and editor. Jan has made significant contributions to all of Paul's writings. 

      Paul and Jan have been singing and leading worship together for the 44 years of their marriage. Paul wrote the eight songs in their CD, which was performed by both of them.

      They have counseled and prayed with many individuals and desire to continue to support people in challenging circumstances. We are available to talk through email, chat boxes, phone and in person sessions.
